The Solar Trailer is a mobile renewable energy power plant for events or for any other purposes as required.

The Solar Trailer has solar panels and a large bank of deep cycle batteries plus all of the other necessary electronic componentry capable of powering music or workshop public address (PA) systems, computers, screens and data projectors. All laptops, PAs, speakers, projectors mixing desks and IT/sound technicians can be provided for the duration of the event if you wish.

The Solar Trailer can also has an interactive display if desired and can be set up to function as a mobile phone solar recharging station. This popularity of this feature usually surprises event managers!

The Solar Trailer has proven a great success at multiday events such as Peats Ridge Festival and has even been used to recharge electric wheelchairs, play stations, video and digital cameras, lanterns and other gadgets for campers and it has even been used to power uphair clippers, electric razors and to provide power for airbrush tatoos!

Advanced notice of the equipment that is intended to power is required to ensure that the system has adequate surge and continuous power provision capacity, and to ensure that it arrives at the event with adequate electrical leads and extension poles if it is necessary to get leads up above head height for walkways.

Relevant solar power and energy efficiency brochures and information can be provided if relevant.

This trailer needs to have a Sustainability Systems & Services staff member to supervise it, particularly if it is intended to be used to charge mobile phones so that the safety and security of these expensive items can be ensured. If however there is another Sustainability Systems & Services trailer on site it may not need to be individually staffed unless it is a big, busy event.

If The Solar Trailer is booked for longer periods then discount rates can be negotiated. Discounts are available on staffing depending upon the exact nature of the event as indicated above.
